Colorful Moroccan Kilim Rug – Handmade Berber Area Rug, Blue Medallion, 2 x 4 ft

Transform your space with this stunning colorful moroccan rug, skillfully handcrafted by women of the Berber tribes in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Combining tradition and artistry, this unique piece is both a cultural masterpiece and a cozy addition to your home.

This delicately patterned moroccan kilim rug was made in the snowy mountains of the High Atlas where temperatures can get very low, which is why it is beautifully warm, fluffy, and a true paradise for your feet. Often, Berber women draw meaningful symbols on their rugs either to protect their family, bring happiness to their home, or as a tribute to nature.

This unique handmade kilim rug is entirely crafted out of natural wool, tinted using natural organic dye, which makes it very soft and easy to care for.

✳️ How Our Rugs Are Made: We use a traditional loom to weave our products. A loom is a device a person uses to weave a carpet. Two to three people can sit next to each other and work simultaneously on the rug. We work together line by line until we finish it, meaning we complete the first row of the knitted wool and then move to the next. We secure the finished line to the bottom by pushing it down using a traditional wooden hammer so it can be tight and secure, ensuring your berber kilim rug is made to last generations.
